Joel Esher is songwriter, composer, arranger and teaching artist living in New York City. His Off-Broadway Martin Shkreli musical comedy PharmaBro received national attention and was nominated for an Off-Broadway Alliance award for best new musical. In 2022, Joel was a recipient of the Arizoni regional theater award for his original music in the Theater for Young Audience (TYA) play “The Clumsy Princess” (with Jessica Puller).

As of 2022, Joel is excited to be adding a new arm to his musical career in creating music for sync licensing. Joel lives on New York City's Upper West Side with his wife, Kaitlin, and daughter, Thea. He graduated with a B.M. in Music Direction and Voice and Opera from Northwestern University with a Certificate of Performance in Musical Theater, graduated The Second City's Music Director Training Program. Member of the BMI-Advanced Musical Theater Writing Program.
